![]() ![]() Rugrats is owned by Nickelodeon, Viacom and Klasky-Csupo. And in the end Angelica gets the worst shock of her life, and she didn't really do anything wrong here either all she wanted was some goddamn sleep. The Rugrats are understandably terrified of what they believe is a giant monster baby chasing them through the house, fuck, I'D be scared if a guy like that came at at me and asked me to pull his finger! There's potential for humor here but it just comes off as disturbing and crude. Yeah he's a giant baby, most people who use that as a costume would at least have a little more to it so it doesn't look so. The guy just comes off as this fat obnoxious creep, Especially, when we see HIS costume, which is just a diaper. Anyway back to the A-plot, which is actually really creepy as an adult, moreso than as a kid.ĭidi's cousion Bucky, who we never see again after this comes to the party and his gimmick is the pull my finger joke which I don't think even real babies would laugh at its so immature. I don't really find Stu's desperation funny, since a lot of people who've been locked out of their own homes have also gone nuts trying, and like Stu, since this wasn't even his house he gets hauled off by the cops who just keep mocking him. Drew is an asshole in this episode locking Stu out of his house over a petty argument, and Stu, wearing nothing but a loincloth tries to break back in through increasingly desperate means. Stu and Drew get into a pissing contest over whether Tarzan or King Kong is king of the jungle, personally I'd go with Tarzan since he, y'know came first and all. The kids think that because they made a wish in Angelica's "magic lamp" the whole world changed into all sorts of weirdness, with weird things like pirates, spacemen, cowboys, the 3 little pigs and a moose! Actually it's a costume party Drew and Charloette's were throwing, and even on the adults side of things it isn't exactly "mature". Given Disney's Aladdin came out several months prior to this episode I'd have to say they already have a lot to back up doing a take on the story even in imagination. ![]() But it ends up becoming an akward, sorta cruel, pretty disturbing mess. It almost feels like this episode should've been a dream like Visitors from Outer Space, including the bizarre twist at the end.
